Life Is Too Short!

Everyone in the world was effected by the tragic events of 9-11, but for my fiance it meant an unsure future. Jason is pilot for American Airlines and having been employed for less then a year, he knew this could mean a lay-off for him.

The next weeks were especially stressful, so Jason told me to pack a bag, bring my swimsuit, and take a few vacation days at work. After dropping the dog off we were off, yet I had no idea where. We drove around the wineries of Missouri and pulled up to a little bed and breakfast, I still had no idea what was going on.

As we got out of the car we were greeted by first name and shown to our room. I was still not sure what was going on, thinking it was just a night away. Upon entering the room, I found a bottle of champagne chilling and was instructed to leave it for later. After dinner and a stroll around Augusta, Jason put in a Frank Sinatra CD...I still had no idea. We danced and he told me all that I meant to him, I was still clueless. He sat me on the bed and went to his knee, put his hand in his pocket and I began to laugh and cry, I said Yes.

After a wonderful two days of bike riding, wineries, and a wonderful Bed and Breakfast, we returned home and I learned that he had bought the ring on 9-10 hoping to wait until the holidays. But after 9-11, decided life was too short.

Our wedding is planned for October 5, 2002 and we can't wait to be married!
